Rémoise

At the start of the 2026 school year, the Reims School of Art and Design will move into a new iconic building designed by architect Jean-Pierre Lott. To mark the occasion, Atelier Baudelaire is designing the school’s new visual identity, with the goal of affirming its unique positioning as a pioneering institution in the teaching of innovative disciplines that explore new ways of thinking about matter and living things. For this new identity, Eugénie Bidaut (NTF) has designed “La Rémoise,” a custom-designed typeface. The Display version, with inverted contrasts and forms that are both organic and modular, conveys headlines with a joyful energy. The sans-serif Text version retains the same letter structure but is stripped down to the essentials for body text and everyday readability. The identity is implemented with a deliberate economy of means, complemented by a series of decorative elements that can be used to structure the layout.
